Rockwell's Retreat is a beautifully restored 1700's Inn situated on the Battenkill River over a covered bridge in Arlington, Vermont. The former home and studio of Norman Rockwell is a picturesque and calm refuge at which to recharge and revive, while taking in the magic of the Vermont mountains and countryside. From skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, to fly fishing, tubing and hiking in the warmer months, shopping and dining during all the seasons, the Manchester, Vermont area has it all.
Our renovated and restored Inn includes comforting amenities like custom made new beds, 600 thread count sheets and comforters, in-room fireplaces, and two Peloton bikes onsite in our gym to allow you to navigate Vermont at your own pace. Not to mention, breakfast is included with every stay!

Treats for Our Guests
We love stocking local favorites, like ice cream from the Chocolate Barn in Shaftsbury, Vermont.
We do not however have the ability to purchase alcohol for our guests. We suggest you bring your drinks of choice and we can store them in the fridge for you.
