Once the creative sanctuary for the iconic American artist Norman Rockwell, this studio now houses two separate bedrooms, each decorated with an understated elegance that pairs perfectly with the historical significance of the space. The common area, formerly Norman's workspace, brims with creative energy and timeless charm, offering a unique shared space for all inn guests to relax and unwind.

The second stand alone studio, Half Pint, is a gem in its own right. Previously belonging to Norman Rockwell's sons, this stand-alone studio is a luminous haven, thanks to its expansive windows that fill the space with an abundance of natural light. The blend of rustic elements and modern comforts in its design make it a beautiful retreat that inspires and rejuvenates.

ROCKWELL STUDIO

FIRST FLOOR

The studio now consists of the common area where the artist painted, and where the local models came and went to support these well-known pieces of history. The huge twelve pain north facing window provided the light for some of his most famous work through 1953 when he left for Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The studio consists of common space for all inn guests to enjoy.

The first-floor suite was originally Rockwell's dark room where he worked with his photographer, Gene Pelham, to develop the photos of his models to paint and Rockwell's workshop. This first floor room was converted in the fall of 2021, includes a dark room vibe via a suite with an updated bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a large adjoining sitting room with two leather chairs, a smart tv, a mini refrigerator, Keurig coffee station, and a bright brand-new bathroom with walk in shower. In warmer months and in the fall, enjoy the private downstairs deck looking up towards the serenity and beauty of Big Spruce Mountain.
